Memphis Design Compositions

Inspired by the Italian design movement of the 1980’s, these compositions celebrate the vibrancy and style fifty years later. These compositions were created for a graphic design class at the University of Georgia as part of an assignment which asked students to create twenty compositions based off of a chosen design movement.

This assignment taught me about the importance of graphic systems and creating rules and guidelines to adhere to that system, thus creating a coordinated style. This was also paramount in my experience with Adobe Illustrator, as this was my first major assignment utilizing the software.
